Texas has been hit with a weather crisis as winter storms continue to slam across the state. Dallas has been one of the cities that has been severely affected by the adverse weather conditions and, for his part, Dallas Cowboys star Dak Prescott is helping those that are most affected by donating meals to the homeless.
Through the help of Our Calling, a nonprofit organization that serves the homeless, Prescott was able to provide financial support to help feed some of the folks living out in the streets of Dallas:
Opening an emergency weather shelter for nearly 1,000 homeless individuals in Dallas at the Convention Center has been our most difficult task. But we are thankful and encouraged that @McConaughey and @dak are sending support to purchase meals for the individuals and families.

Prescott, a native of Sulphur, Louisiana, has grown fond of the city since joining the Cowboys in 2016. In his five years with the franchise, the two-time Pro Bowl quarterback has emerged as a well-loved figure in the city. This time around, it's Prescott who is giving the love back, as he provides help for those that are most in need. Kudos to Dak here for exhibiting just what type of person he is outside the football field.
Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury early in the previous campaign. He was playing some outstanding football before he was forced to go under the knife to repair an ankle injury he sustained in just the fifth game of the season.
Prescott has since been rehabbing his injury and is expected to make a full recovery. The general belief is that he should be ready to go for the Cowboys for the 2021 season opener. However, the Cowboys and Prescott must negotiate a new contract after the franchise did not sign him to an extension last year, instead franchise tagging the QB.
