Dak Prescott is making himself more and more money every single week that he plays with the Dallas Cowboys and a certain stat will show why. Of all of the talented quarterbacks in franchise history, Prescott is on pace the be the first Dallas quarterback to lead the NFL in passing yards.

The Cowboys have had Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, and Tony Romo as notable quarterbacks in their team's history. Surprisingly enough, all of those quarterbacks had plenty of fantastic seasons but none of them led the league in passing yards.
On the other hand, Prescott currently has 3,221 yards, 21 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Provided that, Prescott is on pace to conclude the season with 5,153 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.
Without a doubt, all of those numbers would be career highs for the Cowboys' quarterback. As a matter of fact, Prescott has yet to have a season where he has eclipsed 4,000 passing yards in his previous three years in the NFL.
The closest quarterback to Prescott in terms of yards is Philip Rivers of the Los Angeles Chargers. Rivers has aired it out for 3,169 yards and is on track to finish with 5,070 yards.
Many have mentioned Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson as the two front runners to win the NFL's MVP Award. At the same time, Prescott is beginning to creep into the conversation with his remarkable play from under center.
Jerry Jones is undoubtedly elated to see his quarterback torching opposing defenses each and every week. But he also knows that he's going to have to make Prescott the highest-paid quarterback in the NFL at some point.
