The off-season of turmoil continues for the Dallas Cowboys. Amid sexual assault allegations, contract disputes, and losing many key players to free agency and trades, Jerry Jones' team hasn't looked too hot this past few months. Now, another player of theirs is in trouble as he's a person of interest in a grim murder case in the city.

According to the Dallas Morning News, police officials are asking to interview rookie cornerback Kelvin Joseph. Joseph, a second-round draft pick last year, is believed to be involved in the murder of one Cameron Ray last month. The rookie is believed to be part of a group that open fired on Ray in Greenville Avenue.

From the Dallas Morning News:

“Video footage shown by KDFW-TV (FOX4) earlier this week shows a man in a hoodie and an apparent YKDV necklace standing with a group inside the bar. That same group was later caught on another video getting into a fight with Ray and a few others at the intersection of Greenville and Martel.”

For context, the Cowboys rookie apparently uses the psuedonym “YKDV Bossman Fat”, hence his connection to the case.

Kelvin Joseph didn't get much burn this season for the Cowboys, as he played behind Anthony Brown and star corner Trevon Diggs. Even before he was drafted, though, there were concerns about his character, as he also apparently failed multiple drug tests in college.

Both Joseph and the Cowboys have declined to comment on this matter as of now. However, the organization does believe that Joseph wasn't the shooter in the incident. We will continue to give you an update as more details emerge from this story.
