The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed fullback Jamize Olawale, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The deal is a three-year contract worth $5.4 million, per Corey Clark of Cowboys Wire.

Olawale is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played all 16 games, logging two receptions for 13 yards.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at North Texas, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Oakland Raiders in 2012, playing in just three games with the team that season.

In a league where fullbacks are being phased out, Olawale's role has been minimal, but he was a fixture in the Raiders' offense all the way through 2017.

During his second year in Oakland, he caught seven passes for 63 yards. Then, in 2014, he scored the first touchdowns of his career, reaching the end zone twice as a receiver and snaring five balls for 18 yards.

He then scored his first rushing touchdown the following season, totaling 110 yards on 24 carries and registering nine catches for 84 yards. He followed that up with a couple of rushing scores and a receiving touchdown in 2016, hauling in a career-high 12 receptions for 227 yards.

Olawale spent one more season with the Raiders in 2017 before being dealt to the Cowboys for a sixth-round draft pick last March.

Dallas won 10 games and captured the NFC East division title this past year, marking its third division crown since 2014. The Cowboys then went on to defeat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round the following week.
