The Dallas Cowboys are coming off of a solid 2018 campaign in which they won 10 games, captured the NFC East division title and defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round.

With a young, improving core, the Cowboys could be in line for bigger and better things in the near future, and former Dallas safety Darren Woodson thinks the club is capable of winning a championship.

“If you're looking at the Cowboys' personnel, I firmly believe this is a Super Bowl capable football team,” Woodson told 105.3 The Fan. “You just have to add the small pieces to that puzzle. You don't have to break the bank to do so. You're gonna have to draft some guys who are good special teams players, good depth within your roster and you're right back in the mix.”

Woodson added that a couple of things do need to happen for the Cowboys to truly contend for a Super Bowl.

“The key is this offense, and this offensive line will hopefully get healthy. You still have Dak Prescott, you still have the identity of who you are in the running game and you can get this defense, which was a young secondary last year, to play at a high level, I think this team is right there in the mix,” he said.

With Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, and Amari Cooper, Dallas certainly has the weapons needed on offense, and let's also not forget that the Cowboys are getting tight end Jason Witten back going into 2019.
