One of the only moves the Dallas Cowboys have made this offseason is signing wide receiver Randall Cobb, and while he may not be the same player he was a few years back, he is still expected to be a key cog in the Cowboys' offense.

Obviously, it's important for Cobb to develop a strong rapport with Dak Prescott, and Cobb is already attempting to do that.

“The biggest thing for me is just continuing to build chemistry with him,” Cobb said, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. “We’re both very open about talking through things. The more communication we have, the more we’ll be on the same page.”

Cobb will be stepping in for Cole Beasley, who the Cowboys lost to the Buffalo Bills in free agency earlier this offseason. He will likely serve as the team's No. 3 receiver behind Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, and Prescott is thrilled that Dallas was able to nab him.

“We’ve had a fast connection,” said Prescott. “You take something, approach something, go out there and he does it right the first time. When you have a guy like that, it allows you to cut the ball loose; it allows you to anticipate. It allows you to trust he’s going to be in the right spot, and he hasn’t failed in doing that.”

Cobb is coming off of a rough 2018 campaign with the Green Bay Packers in which he played in just nine games due to injuries, catching 38 passes for 383 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

The 28-year-old spent the first eight years of his career in Green Bay, making one Pro Bowl.
