Things are getting heated at Denver Broncos camp, with Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton clashing. The two receivers got into it during practice, and the argument apparently came to blows, according to Paul Klee of the Colorado Springs Gazette.

“Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton throwing punches here at Broncos camp. Still yapping at each other… heated,” his tweet read.

It's unclear what sparked the dispute, although it was likely something generational. Sanders is heading into his tenth year in the league, while Sutton is a second-year player. Vets often get into disputes with younger guys during camp, so this isn't too uncommon.

More often than not, when teammates fight during camp, it's offense vs. defense, so it is somewhat notable that two members of the same position group got into it.

Sutton has been very vocal recently about his desire to become the Broncos' number one receiver, which may have rubbed Sanders the wrong way. The scuffle came moments after Sutton caught a pass from Joe Flacco, according to Troy Renck of Denver 7 ABC.

Sanders was having a very impressive year in 2018 before his season was cut short by a torn Achilles. Now 32 and coming off one of the worst injuries in the sport, it's unclear if Sanders will have as prominent of a role when he returns.

Sutton impressed as a rookie last year, and the Broncos undoubtedly want him to get more targets. Sanders isn't shy about voicing his frustrations, and it'll be interesting to see how he responds if he's forced to take a backseat in the receiving corp.
