The Denver Broncos were able to secure a clutch win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12. It appears the victory was a little extra sweet for wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders.

Sanders was once a promising, young member of the Steelers several years ago. According to Chad Jensen of 247 Sports, he admits that it is always nice to beat his former team:

“It’s fun. I like beating them more than I like playing them,” Sanders said after the game. “We were able to get the job done today. It felt good.”

Not only were the Broncos able to escape with the victory, but Sanders played a major part in them doing so as well. He was Denver's top pass-catcher once again with seven receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown.

He now has ultimate bragging rights over his former team at least until the next time they meet again.

Sanders was a former third-round pick for the Steelers back in the 2010 NFL Draft. Although he was able to show flashes of promise early on, he was ultimately overshadowed by the emergence of his fellow classmate in wide receiver Antonio Brown. He then signed with Denver as a free agent following a successful stint in Pittsburgh.

There is no question that Sanders ultimately made the right decision. He flourished opposite of wide receiver Demaryius Thomas in the years that followed after earning two trips to the Pro Bowl. He now maintains his status as quarterback Case Keenum's favorite target. He will need to continue to play at a high level if the Broncos are to get a win streak going.
