The Denver Broncos are the first team in the NFL to begin their training camp this summer with the team reporting on Thursday. Emmanuel Sanders was one of the focuses on the day as the receiver slowly comes back from his injury.

After the first day, Sanders says everything that Joe Flacco does is “smooth”. The veteran receiver also said he is encouraged how he felt on the first day and he knows his body.

It seems like Sanders already has a nickname for Flacco with him calling him “pretty boy”. Of course, Flacco arrived in Denver after John Elway helped facilitate a trade from the Baltimore Ravens.

For Sanders, all he is focused on is getting to one-hundred percent during training camp. Last season, Sanders suffered a torn Achilles that ended his season prematurely.

Before going down with an injury, Sanders had 71 receptions for 868 yards and four touchdowns. The passing offense took a huge hit when Sanders was sidelined.

Now, in 2019, there is some optimism surrounding the Broncos passing attack with a new quarterback group. Flacco will be the starter with the team also drafting Drew Lock and bringing in Kevin Hogan and Brett Rypien.

Plus, the receiving corp is expected to take a step forward with second-year receivers Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton expected to improve within the offense. Sutton was the number one target in the offense after Sanders was hurt last year.

Along with those guys, Noah Fant figures to play a large role in the offense as well.

Sanders is inching his way to getting back healthy but until then, he'll keep watching Flacco impress in camp.
