The Denver Broncos made a few major splashes this offseason while most notably acquiring veteran quarterback Joe Flacco from the Baltimore Ravens. Leading to such a decision, the Broncos previously turned to another veteran quarterback in Case Keenum ahead of last season — a decision that ultimately did not work out well and caused Denver to trade the seasoned signal caller to the Washington Redskins this time around.

With Flacco as confident as ever under center, the former Ravens standout doesn't think Denver really needs to draft the team's quarterback of the future with the No. 10 overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

“I don’t care whether they take a quarterback at 10 or whatnot,” Flacco said after his first-ever practice as a Broncos’ starting quarterback, via 9 News in Denver. “The only thing I care about is I want this team to be as good as they can with me at quarterback. So if they feel as a team as an organization we can add value to our team with the 10th pick, then I’m all for getting the guy who can add value to the team with me as the understood quarterback.”

The Broncos missed out on the postseason in 2018 while Denver is sure to be a bit better come 2019.

However, and unfortunately for the Broncos, Denver will be forced to deal with both the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West division. Not only that, but even the Oakland Raiders got a little better this offseason while this divisional race should heat up in a hurry.
