John Elway and the Denver Broncos are in search of a new head coach after firing Vance Joseph. Former Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase is also in search of a new job after getting fired by the Miami Dolphins on Black Monday.
However, Elway has ruled out a reunion with Gase, saying the former Broncos coach is not one of their head-coaching candidates at this time.
“Not at this time, no,” Elway said per Nick Shook of NFL.com.
Gase spent five seasons with the Broncos, two of which he spent as offensive coordinator. In his first season as OC, he helped the Peyton Manning-led offense to a record-breaking season as they went all the way to the Super Bowl.

He led the Dolphins to a 10-6 record in his debut season as they went to the playoffs for the first time in eight years. However, he went just 13-19 in the two seasons since and finally got the can.
Even though Gase doesn’t seem to be in the running for the Broncos job, he apparently has a lot of other offers to choose from.
As for the Broncos, they are also casting a wide net in terms of their interviewing candidates to be their next head coach.
