The Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos did the unexpected when they agreed to a blockbuster trade involving star quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson's departure from Seattle put the franchise in a position that they hadn't been in in years- and then Seattle went and released longtime linebacker Bobby Wagner. The two moves officially ushered in a new era in Seattle, while the trade of Wilson made the Broncos instant championship favorites. The Broncos may not be done adding to the core part of the roster either- and they might have Wilson's help. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Wilson is recruiting Wagner to play with him in Denver.

Russell Wilson is technically a member of the Broncos unofficially until the start of the new league year on March 16. Still, the former Seahawks Super Bowl winner is using his time wisely by trying to recruit Bobby Wagner to the Broncos.
Article Continues BelowWagner, 31, has made the NFL's All-Pro list six times and has never had a season with less than 100 tackles. Wagner would be a welcome presence as both a playmaker and a leader on the Broncos' defense.
However, as Fowler notes, the star linebacker won't be easy to acquire, with no shortage of interested teams. Wilson will have to really ramp up those recruitment efforts if he wants Wagner to be his teammate.
