Denver Broncos star linebacker Von Miller is not only the last holdover from the Super Bowl 50 winning team, he also has a big, individual goal for the 2020 NFL season.
Miller, 31, intends on trying to win the 2020 Defensive Player of the Year Award, which would be the first time he'd earn the distinction after winning Defensive Rookie of the Year for the Broncos in 2011.

I've just got to take advantage of the opportunities, I have go get it.”
“I feel like sacks and Defensive Player of the Year Award go together, I believe lead the league in sacks, they go hand-in-hand,” Miller said. “It was about sacks before and it's about sacks now, about sacks, winning games, coaching some of these young guys now.
” … I've never been a guy where I've said if I have this guy around me or that guy around me … no matter who's around me I still need to get sacks, I've got to get sacks … that's just how it's always been, how it is, I've got to do everything in my power to get sacks. I don't want Super Bowl 50 to be my high point. We've got to keep on playing.”
The Broncos selected Miller with the second overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M. He has since become an eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker and stud on defense, leading that group to glory when the Broncos brought home the Lombardi Trophy in 2015-16 by blowing out the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.
Miller only registered eight sacks during the 2019 campaign, however, so if he wants the 2020 Defensive Player of the Year, he will need to sack opposing quarterbacks with more vigor for the Broncos.
