The Los Angeles Rams are one of the best teams in the NFL. Los Angeles sits at 12-4, has one of the better head coaches in the league in Sean McVay, two cornerstone offensive players in Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp on offense, as well as studs on the other side of the ball in Aaron Donald, Von Miller and Jalen Ramsey. It's no wonder that the Rams are among the favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. In a recent appearance on NFL Network's Rich Eisen Show, Von Miller made a shocking admission about the current Rams team.
“I’m comfortable. I’m comfortable in this team,” Miller said. “We went to a Super Bowl in 2015 and this team has a lot of those similarities. To be honest, this team is probably more talented than that 2015 team. We’ve got Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald, Leonard Floyd, myself. The offensive line on this team is definitely more experienced and more seasoned and we’ve got a whole stable of running backs. We’ve got Cooper Kupp, the best wide receiver in the league.”
That is a shocking claim by Rams star Von Miller. Miller, who was the Super Bowl MVP on the Denver Broncos team that defeated the Carolina Panthers in the big game back in 2015, believes this Los Angeles team has more talent than that squad.
The Broncos' Super Bowl-winning team featured Peyton Manning at quarterback, talented wide receivers in Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas, and studs on the defensive end in Miller, Aqib Talib and Chris Harris Jr.
Miller might have a point about this Rams squad, which could have more talent on paper than any team in the NFC. But the former Broncos Super Bowl MVP didn't stop there. Miller said that this team ‘handles adversity” better than that Denver team.
Rams fans better hope that Von Miller is right, because there will be no shortage of challenges with the COVID-19 outbreak still very much alive and a tough NFC field awaiting.
