Unfortunately for the Detroit Lions, they're going to take on arguably the best team in football during Week 15 as they play the Arizona Cardinals. Although Detroit has been playing better as of late, this is going to be a tough game for them to win and the chances are high that they're going to walk away with a loss.
Losing isn't necessarily a bad thing for this Lions organization. There are clearly areas that they need to improve on and the best way to do that in the NFL is through the draft. Every game that they lose from here on out can be looked at as a benefit because it will just help them get a higher draft pick.
Let's take a look at four bold predictions for the Lions-Cardinals Week 15 game.

Lions Week 15 Predictions
4. No running game
This was always already going to be a game for the Lions that they probably weren't going to win. Factor in that D'Andre Swift is going to be out due to a shoulder injury, and this is going to get much tougher than it already was going to be.
If they were going to want to win this game, they were going to need their offense to be clicking on all cylinders. The Cardinals have one of the best offenses in all of the NFL and the only way you're going to beat them is by putting up points when they do. The Lions simply don't have a good enough offense to keep up with this team and although the Lions' defense hasn't necessarily been bad this year, they aren't going to be able to do enough to win them the game.
3. Defense keeps them in the game
Article Continues BelowThe Lions' defense isn't going to be able to win this game, but they could keep it respectable. What Arizona does on the offensive side of the ball is very hard to stop and it's not going to be an easy thing for the Lions to contain. Expect the Lions to still lose this game by a decent amount, but it would be way worse if their defense did not play the way that they are going to. Arizona is still going to be able to score more than 35 points but the defense is going to do everything they can to keep them in this game.
2. Lions lose big
It seems inevitable that this is going to happen. It's not necessarily a bad thing or a knock on the Lions. The Cardinals are simply a better football team and they have proven that through the entire year. There's a good chance that they are going to be the team that wins the Super Bowl, and as we all know, the Lions are very far away from doing something like that.
They're going to lose this game 34-10, but it's not as bad as it could be with the type of offense that the Cardinals have.
1. Higher draft pick
With all the areas that the Lions need to improve on, every loss can be looked at as a benefit. There is no chance at them making the playoffs this season and there probably isn't one next season either. If they're going to want to rebuild this organization to finally be a half-decent team, they're going to need to do that in the draft or by signing and trading players. There's no better place to start than a high draft pick and with the concerns at quarterback, they could be able to get one of the better quarterback prospects in this year's draft if they continue losing.
