The Detroit Lions are trying to find their way in the Matt Patricia era.

The pencil-in-ear coach is trying to carve out the Lions into winners as his mentor, Bill Belichick is doing with the New England Patriots.

It hasn't been easy in his first season and a half. He's 9-13-1 during his duration as a coach. But he has the talent to turn things around quickly.

Marvin Jones is one of those talented players that Patricia has, and has made a mark on the 2019 season. Jones has made spectacular catches throughout this season, and this Sunday he added to the collection. Check out this catch against the Raiders below.

Currently, the Lions are 3-3-1 and are looking for a win to stay alive in the still-early playoff race. The Vikings suffered a loss against the Kansas City Chiefs 26-23, and that leaves them with a 6-3 record. If the Lions can continue to win over the next few weeks, then they will be in a good position to be a wild card team.

The Lions will still need solid production from Jones, as well. Entering Sunday's matchup against the Raiders, Jones has 29 catches, 322 yards, and four touchdowns. As of this writing, he has 5 catches, 87 yards, and a touchdown. If Jones can stay on the right page with quarterback Matthew Stafford, then the Lions will enjoy more spectacular catches like the one above.

Let's see if the Lions can parlay Jones spectacular catch into a win against the Raiders. If not, it will just be a highlight on Sportscenter and nothing more.
