On Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz went down with a scary knee injury. In return, the entire organization has taken a hit in terms relative to its spirit.
Basically, people on the Eagles are sad. Not that you can blame anyone, as losing Carson Wentz right before the playoffs pretty much eliminates Philly from any realistic chance at making a run at the Super Bowl.
According to Pro Football Talk, the franchise's mood has been subdued since Wentz went down. The reports from around the league have stated that the Eagles fear the second-year gunslinger tore his ACL, and that it is just a matter of time before an MRI confirms it.
Wentz addressed fans on Twitter after the win against the Los Angeles Rams, which clinched the NFC East and a playoff sport for Philadelphia.

“And I greatly appreciate all the prayers! I know my God is a powerful one with a perfect plan. Time to just lean in to him and trust whatever the circumstances! #Proverbs 3:5-6”
Teammates have already admitted to taking it hard.
“He (Wentz) was the first person greeting everyone in the locker room on the way in,” Eagles safety Malcom Jenkins said. “I don't know what to tell a man in that situation; I just told him I loved him as a teammate, loved him as a friend, obviously everyone is feeling for him.”
Expect an official announcement on the knee on Monday.
