Aaron Jones has become a household name this season with the Green Bay Packers. After showing signs of stardom over the last couple of seasons under former head coach Mike McCarthy, Jones has truly been unleashed on the NFL by first-year head coach Matt LaFleur. His career could not be going any better at this point in time.
Through the team's first 10 games of the 2019 season, Jones has carried the football 135 times for 589 yards and 11 touchdowns. Jones has also caught 35 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns.
His production speaks for itself, but the season is really just getting started. Green Bay was not in it this year to have a good regular-season record. They want to make a deep playoff run and compete for a Super Bowl appearance and another championship.
Next up for the Packers is a Sunday night showdown against the best team in the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers. Green Bay is sitting at 8-2 heading into this game, while the 49ers are currently 9-1. The Packers are going to need a big game to come away with the win.
All of that being said, here are some bold predictions for Jones, who must come through with a big game for the Packers to get a victory.
Jones Rushes for Over 100 Yards
LaFleur is going to look to establish the running game early this week. San Francisco has an incredibly stout defense, but Jones is going to be able to get things going on the ground.
Rushing for 100 yards against the 49ers is without question a big accomplishment. If the Packers can get that kind of production from their running back, Aaron Rodgers will have a much easier evening. Jones is ready to rise to the occasion and will accomplish this big task.
The Packers See Jones Score Two More Touchdowns
Next up, the Packers have seen Jones get into the end zone 14 times so far this season. He has been without question one of the league's most lethal weapons in the red zone. That won't change this week, even against a tough 49ers' defense.
Jones is going to get into the end zone at least two more times. His season total will rise to 16 and the Packers are going to have a good chance to pull off a win thanks to his production.
Green Bay Uses Jones Early and Often As A Receiver
Finally, Jones is going to make plays as a receiver as well. He will rack up 100 yards on the ground and will add even more to his stats through the air.
Rodgers and Jones have shown big-time chemistry so far this season. Jones has made plays down the field as well as in the screen game. No matter how the Packers get him the football, Jones should find a way to rack up another five receptions for 40 yards and will have a chance to score another receiving score.
