It's been a hectic week for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Ty Dunne of Bleacher Report's bombshell article sent shockwaves through the organization, and it didn't portray Rodgers too kindly.

Rodgers took issue with his portrayal and took to the media to publicly defend himself. He's had a war of words with former teammates Greg Jennings and Jermichael Finley for years now and doesn't get along with his former targets. But one current Packers pass-catcher who Rodgers gets along with just fine is Davante Adams.

With Jordy Nelson out of the way, Adams blossomed into a true number one receiver last season. He caught 111 passes for 1,386 yards and 13 touchdowns, which were all career highs. During a recent interview with Jason Wilde and Mark Tauscher, Rodgers gushed about his top wideout, per Brian Jones of 247Sports.

“This 17 we got, you might know him, he goes by the name of Davante, he's special. He is a different type of guy that we ever had,” Rodgers said.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback also raved about Adams as a person and his leadership abilities.

“From a personality standpoint, he's a great locker-room guy. He's a great leader. He's scary enough in the locker room, the guys listen to him because he's passionate. And when you talk about his ability at the line of scrimmage to beat people, he's a different type of player.”

The Packers had a disappointing 2018 campaign, which resulted in the firing of longtime coach Mike McCarthy. They brought in offensive whizkid Matt LaFleur to be their head coach and to inject some much-needed energy into the franchise.

The Packers have high hopes for 2019, and they'll need the Rodgers and Adams pairing to continue to thrive if they want to get back to the playoffs. It sounds like Rodgers is very happy at the moment, which is a good step in the right direction.
