Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are headed into a big season in 2019. After failing to make the playoffs for the second year in a row in 2018, Green Bay made a tough decision to fire head coach Mike McCarthy midseason. They went out and hired Matt LaFleur to replace him.

Despite the coaching change, Rodgers has been adamant that the pressure is still on the team to perform for their new head coach.

In a quote shared by Pro Football Talk, Rodgers made it clear that immediate success is the expectation and goal in Green Bay.

“This isn’t like other transitions where you kind of get a pass for the first year or two as you get acclimated to the system.”

So far, Rodgers has enjoyed the challenge of learning a new system. He has played under Mike McCarthy throughout his entire career and is finally experiencing a change. Whether or not that will help him get back to putting up MVP numbers or not, only time will tell.

Last season with the Packers, Rodgers ended up completing 62.3 percent of his pass attempts for 4,442 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He also rushed for 269 yards and two touchdowns.

Since the season ended, news has revealed that Rodgers played the entire season on a very serious knee injury. He also suffered a serious concussion late in the season. Now, he will be asked to turn things around in Green Bay and help lead them back to the playoffs.

Expect to see Rodgers rise to the occasion in 2019 as he has done throughout his entire career. LaFleur is going to bring a new offense to Green Bay and it will help Rodgers get back to monstrous production.
