With the preseason in full swing, teams like the Green Bay Packers are looking to integrate some of the new faces into their offense. It appears quarterback Aaron Rodgers still wants in on the action.
Green Bay is looking to keep their momentum going at home this week versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to Doug Russell of WTMJ, Rodgers said he plans to get some work in:

Rodgers added that this may be the only action he sees this preseason, via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Needless to say, it is a bit surprising to see Rodgers will make a preseason debut at all. Players of his caliber are usually held out of such meaningless games due to the risk of injury. However, it seems Rodgers is anxious to see some live action.
Green Bay has high hopes for the 2018 NFL season, and the health of Rodgers is the main reason why. That said, it is likely that the Packers' star will only get one or two series at the most before calling it a night. Rodgers' decision to get his only preseason snaps at home may be due to preparation and fanfare to start the year off on the right foot.
