As good as Aaron Rodgers is, he can’t do it all for the Green Bay Packers. Already troubled by a knee injury, Rodgers is carrying a heavy burden for the Packers, who have been immensely dependent on his arm as a source of offense. For Rodgers, the Packers should find a way to get the rock more often to teammate and running back Aaron Jones.

Rodgers recently spoke with the media, a video of which could be seen on the Packers’ official website, and let his thoughts about Jones’ involvement on the Packers’ offense, (h/t Brian Jones of 247 Sports).

“When you bring 33 back on the field like we did last week, you kind of forget the type of dynamic abilities he can bring to a game with his running style, Rodgers said. “He's a different type of runner than we've had here in a while. You've gotta find ways to get him the ball.”

Aaron Jones missed the Packers’ first two games of the season to serve a suspension handed to him by the NFL for violation of the league’s substance abuse policy. Over that span, the Packers were only able to average 83.5 rushing yards. When Jones’ suspension was finally lifted, the second-year pro led the team with 42 rushing yards on just six carries for an impressive 7.0 yards-per-attempt average, albeit in a 31-17 road loss to the Washington Redskins.

The team's running backs Jamaal Williams and Ty Montgomery haven’t been anything special in the backfield for Green Bay, so Jones is on pace to take over as the team’s No. 1 running back going forward.

The Green Bay's lack of backfield activity has hindered their offense with the team ranking just 31st in the league in terms of rushing play percentage (30.26) and 24th in rushing yards per game (89.0).
