Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams has been ruled out for his team's Monday night matchup with the Detroit Lions due to a toe injury, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Adams initially sustained the injury back in Week 4, when he hurt his toe late in the Packers' Thursday night loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

This will mark the second straight game he has missed since then, as Adams was also sidelined during Green Bay's win over the Dallas Cowboys last weekend.

For a Packers offense that is thin on weapons even with Adams, this is obviously significant, especially against an NFC North division rival.

In the four games he has played this season, Adams has logged 25 catches for 378 yards, with 10 of those catches and 180 of those yards coming against the Eagles.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Fresno State, was originally selected by Green Bay in the second round (53rd pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He played in all 16 games during his rookie campaign but had a relatively limited role, catching 38 passes for 446 yards and three touchdowns. He then posted similar numbers in 2015, finishing with 50 catches for 483 yards and a score.

It wasn't until 2016 that Adams finally broke out, as he hauled in 75 receptions for 997 yards while reaching the end zone 12 times. He proceeded to make his first Pro Bowl in 2017 after snaring 74 balls for 885 yards and 10 touchdowns, and last year, Adams had his best season to date, registering 111 catches for 1,386 yards and 13 scores, earning another Pro Bowl selection.

The Packers have gotten off to a 4-1 start.
