ESPN is expecting big things for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and their experts have him as the fifth-best pick to win the MVP. The only players they have ranked in front of him are Patrick Mahomes, Carson Wentz, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady.

Rodgers dealt with injuries last season but was still able to throw for 4,442 yards, 25 touchdowns, and two interceptions. The hope is that with the Packers bringing in Matt LaFleur, Rodgers can have an even bigger year this year.

There was some concern right after the hire that there might be issues between the two guys, but with more time during practice, the offense is coming together.

“[Left tackle David] Bakhtiari actually pulled me aside toward the end of this practice and said ‘It's looking pretty good out there. What are we doing differently?'” Rodgers said via channel3000.com. “I said ‘We're finally kind of running all of our stuff.' It's all kind of in at this point. The package to choose from is a lot bigger. It's been fun to see the execution and guys making plays. I like where we're at offensively.”

To win an MVP award, it is about individual success, but with quarterbacks, it's all about the team having a special year too.

The Packers have been down the last couple of years and if they are able to have a 12-4 type season with Rodgers dominating defenses, it would make a lot of sense that he could be named league MVP after the season.
