It seems that this offseason has been all about the hate for current Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and now players who didn't even play with him are leaving their two cents.

Former Dallas Cowboys lineman Marcus Spears made an appearance on ESPN's Get Up and said that if Rodgers wasn't such a good player, there would be even more hate surronding him.

“Aaron Rodgers is toxic,” Spears said. “If it wasn't for his talent level, we would probably have a different view and conversation about Aaron Rodgers. When former players come out and talk about a player — you have to understand — when you've went to war with a guy, for you to come out and talk of him ill and speak negatively of him, he's done some things that you've seen that's created the ability for you to go out and express that.”

These comments are super interesting because Spears never actually played with Rodgers. He spent his first eight seasons with the Cowboys before playing with the Ravens for one season. Spears didn't talk about where he got the inside information from, but with never playing with him, he must have some friends that did play with Rodgers to get this information.

Although some players have come out to the defense of Rodgers, it seems this offseason it has been more people bashing Rodgers, and only a few coming out to defend him.

Rodgers hasn't done much defense of himself this offseason and I don't think he will either with these comments.
