In spite of some speculation that the Green Bay Packers could cut tight end Jimmy Graham this offseason, it appears that Graham will be back with the team for the 2019 season.

“Obviously, Jimmy had a productive year for us last year,” said Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst, according to Brian Jones of 247 Sports. “He fought through a lot of things just to be out there. His professionalism was on display each and every day. I look forward to seeing what he can do for us this year.”

That sounds like a vote of confidence if I've ever heard one.

This past season, Graham hauled in 55 receptions for 636 yards and two touchdowns. While those are hardly bad numbers by any means, they are a far cry from the monstrous stats he used to post during the prime of his career.

Graham signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Packers in March 2018.

He spent the 2017 campaign with the Seattle Seahawks, where he caught 57 passes for 520 yards and 10 scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 32-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Miami, was originally selected by the New Orleans Saints in the third round (95th pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

He spent the first five years of his career with the Saints, making three Pro Bowls and earning a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2013 after snaring 86 balls for 1,215 yards and a league-leading 16 touchdowns.

Graham was then traded to the Seahawks, where he spent three seasons and made a couple of trips to Honolulu.
