Jordan Love has definitely fantasized about his first ever start for the Green Bay Packers. But when he first entered the league, he probably didn't expect it to be under these circumstances.

Aaron Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19, rendering him ineligible to suit up for the Packers in Week 9. Jordan Love spoke out on his first reaction to hearing about the news.

“I was a little shocked but not crazy shocked,” said the Packers sophomore QB about Rodgers' positive test. “Just because with Kurt (Benkert) testing positive earlier in the week, I kind of figured something might happen in the quarterback room. I didn't know what would happen, but just hearing that, my initial thought was … wondering what would shake out with all of the close contacts and how things would break down and just affect all of us in the room.”

“That was my first thought, and just obviously trying to get my mind right for starting this week. But I prepared for this, and I'm confident in myself.”

While Aaron Rodgers has been under scrutiny for his claims that he was “immunized” and his subsequent rant against the Covid-19 vaccine, Jordan Love wants none of that smoke. Love assuredly claimed that he is fully vaccinated and has tested negative for the virus in three consecutive days.

With Aaron Rodgers' future in Green Bay still up in the air, this could very well be a glimpse of what the future looks like for the Packers QB spot in the years to come.
