Over the years, the Green Bay Packers have had plenty of successful head coaches but none of them can say they did what Matt LaFleur did on Sunday. By defeating the Washington Redskins, LaFleur is the first coach in Green Bay's history to win 10 or more games in his first season with the team.

Before LaFleur, the most wins by a Packers' coach in their first season was nine. The two coaches who achieved that number were Mike Holmgren in 1993 and Mike Sherman in 2000.

Of course, the Packers hired LaFleur this offseason after Mike McCarthy spent 13 seasons with the organization. When he took the job, there were mixed reviews on whether or not he would be the right choice for the job.

Thus far, Green Bay has hit a home run as they've now won 10 games already under the first-year head coach. With the team's 10th victory, the Packers still have sole possession of the lead in the NFC North.

The Minnesota Vikings are right behind the Packers with a 9-4 record after taking down the Detroit Lions in Week 14.

The most important aspect of Green Bay's season is seeing the relationship between LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers. Unlike how it was with McCarthy, Rodgers seems to be close with his new head coach.

After two straight years of missing the playoffs, the Packers are on track to playing beyond January for the first time since 2016. It is an impressive achievement for LaFleur but he knows that in Green Bay, it is always Super Bowl or bust every season.
