Lambeau Field was rocking after the Green Bay Packers defeated the Washington Commanders, 27-18, on Thursday, and improved to 2-0 to start the season.
Coming off a win over the Detroit Lions in Week 1, the Packers started strong against the Commanders, holding an 11-point lead at halftime, 14-3. Washington tried to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter, but Green Bay averted it after Jordan Love connected with Tucker Craft for an eight-yard touchdown with 8:57 left.
A day before the game, Micah Parsons and Jayden Daniels expressed their respect for each other when reporters asked them about their face-off. The Packers defensive end stressed the importance of staying ready, while the Commanders quarterback said Parsons got paid a lot of money for a reason.
When the smoke cleared on Thursday, it was all love once again for Parsons and Daniels. They had a brief chat on the field, with the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year flashing a smile despite their loss.

Are there any lip-readers out there?
The 24-year-old Daniels wasn't as efficient as usual, going 24-of-42 for 200 yards and two touchdowns, as the Packers' defense, led by Parsons, wreaked havoc all game. Washington only gained 11 yards in the first quarter and didn't reach the endzone until the final period.
The 26-year-old Parsons, who was recently traded by the Dallas Cowboys to Green Bay, tallied two total tackles and three hurries. Eight of his teammates had at least three total tackles, with Devonte Wyatt and Rashan Gray getting a sack each.
On offense, the Packers were led by Jordan Love, who went 19-of-31 for 292 yards and two touchdowns. Tucker Kraft, meanwhile, had six receptions for a career-high 124 yards. Josh Jacobs added 23 carries for 84 yards.
It's the first 2-0 start for the Packers since 2020. The Commanders haven't beaten them at Lambeau Field since 1986.
Parsons and company will hit the road in Week 3 to face the Cleveland Browns on September 21.
