The Green Bay Packers are set to kick off Week 2 with a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Washington Commanders. Luckily, the Packers will host the visiting Commanders, fresh off their Week 1 27-13 win over the visiting Detroit Lions. Ahead of the matchup, Green Bay stud edge rusher Micah Parsons was listed on Wednesday's injury report along with three other contributors. NFL insider Tom Pelissero shared via X (formerly Twitter) that Parsons is still nursing a back injury.

“#Packers DE Micah Parsons (back), RT Zach Tom (oblique), LG Aaron Banks (ankle/groin), and CB Nate Hobbs (knee) are officially listed as questionable for Thursday night's game vs. #Commanders,” posted Pelissero. “Parsons also was listed as questionable last week and played on a limited basis.”

While Parsons is listed on the report, it's more than likely he'll play against the Commanders on Thursday night. After all, he's intimately familiar with the team because the All-Pro has faced Washington twice a season since his career started with the Dallas Cowboys. The Commanders' head coach is Dan Quinn, Parsons' former defensive coordinator. Even if Parsons can go, the other three injuries are not to be understated. Particularly, the statuses of Tom and Banks. Will Green Bay be at full strength to kick off Week 2, or will the Packers feel the sting of their potential missing players?

Tom and Brooks are two of the offensive line's five starters. Brooks was a big-ticket free agent pickup this offseason from the San Francisco 49ers. Tom has developed from a fourth-round pick into a dependable right tackle. Both players take the job of keeping quarterback Jordan Love clean seriously, as shown in last week's matchup against the Lions.

Meanwhile, Hobbs also came aboard this offseason, taking over one of the starting cornerback roles. While it was unclear who would be the primary cover man on the Commanders' number one receiver, Terry McLaurin, not having Hobbs on Thursday evening would certainly affect those plans. However, not having Parsons would be an even bigger blow. If the Packers can have all four players tomorrow night, then a 2-0 start is a much easier reality to imagine in Green Bay.
