The Green Bay Packers have had a rough go of things throughout the last couple of seasons. With a new offensive system coming into place, however, the team hopes to begin contending in the NFC once again, and young wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling is doing his part by training with an NFL legend.

As he attempts to build on a pretty productive rookie season, Valdes-Scantling has reportedly continued to work with Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Randy Moss. Speaking to the NFL Network (via 247 Sports) during their Good Morning Football program, Valdes-Scantling acknowledged the help he’s been receiving.

“We train Monday through Thursday,” Valdes-Scantling said. “He's teaching me the game. You can't ask for a better mentor to go out and teach you how to be a great wide receiver.”

The receiver also touched on the biggest piece of advice that Moss has given to him while training together.

“Just go out and do what you do well,” Valdes-Scantling said. “Don't try to emulate anybody else. Don't try to go out and be like how [Moss] was.”

The two receivers are no strangers to each other, as the pair worked out together last year as well. However, with a full year of NFL experience under his belt, Valdes-Scantling can now begin to work on finely tuning his skills, and with someone like Moss helping him out, can begin to focus on what will make him that much better of a player.

Valdes-Scantling finished his rookie season with 581 yards and two touchdowns on 38 receptions, but quickly built up a rapport with Aaron Rodgers. Although the pair didn’t have the greatest chemistry, it’s clear that Valdes-Scantling is going to become a bigger piece of the Packers offense in 2019, and with the young receiver getting lessons from an NFL great, the sky is the limit for him.
