Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been considered one of the premier wideouts in the NFL over the last several years. Pro Football Focus has seemingly graded him as the best in the 2018 NFL season.

Hopkins has been his usual dominant self thus far this year. He has been PFF's highest-graded receiver in the 2018 campaign:

Hopkins' ranking should come as no surprise. He has considered himself the best receiver in the game for several years now. He now has even more evidence to support his claim.

It is always safe to take such grading with a grain of salt. However, there is some credence to this when looking at the other names on the list. Wide receiver Julio Jones and Odell Beckham Jr. have long been considered the NFL's elite. Meanwhile, Adam Thielen and Michael Thomas have also started to get their name in the conversation with a spectacular 2018 campaign.

Regardless, they all pale in comparison to what Hopkins has been able to achieve in recent years.

Hopkins was a bonafide star even when the Texans were in constant search of stability under center. He has taken his game to a whole new level with quarterback Deshaun Watson in the mix.

The two-time All-Pro has registered 94 receptions for 1,321 yards and 11 touchdowns. Perhaps even more impressive is that he still has yet to drop a pass this season. Houston's recipe for success clearly revolves around getting the ball into the hands of their explosive playmaker.

Perhaps it is time to start mentioning Hopkins in the same breath as Jones and Antonio Brown.
