The Indianapolis Colts were able to rush for 203 yards as a team against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday but that won't stop them from possibly bringing in another running back. Indianapolis is working out running back De'Angelo Henderson per Ian Rapoport.
The Colts are working out FA RB De’Angelo Henderson today, source said. He spent camp with the #Vikings and played with the #Jets last year.

Henderson spent the entire preseason with the Minnesota Vikings but rarely saw the field with the team. Prior to that, Henderson has spent two seasons in the NFL with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets.
Over his two seasons in the NFL, the third-year running back has only carried the ball nine times for 32 yards. He has also caught two passes for 36 yards and a touchdown in the receiving game.
As for the Colts, they are coming off their Week 1 loss versus the Chargers that saw them run it 33 times for 203 yards. The offense in Indianapolis has a different look to it with Jacoby Brissett and Frank Reich is showing he wants to establish the running game in 2019.
Among their rushing offense, Marlon Mack ended Sunday with 25 carries for 174 yards and a touchdown by himself. Aside from Mack, Nyheim Hines was the only other running back to receive a carry in the offense.
Considering that Jonathan Williams and Spencer Ware are both injured, GM Chris Ballard is likely just doing his due diligence to provide depth at the position. The only healthy running back behind Mack and Hines is Jordan Wilkins.
Wilkins was the fifth-round pick of the Colts in 2018 and finished with 336 yards and a touchdown last year.
