The Jacksonville Jaguars have been trading away some serious talent. That has landed them quite a nice stockpile of draft picks.
In fact, they currently have 10 total picks, including two in the first round. However, they might not be done accumulating picks.
According to John Reid of Jacksonville.com, the Jaguars are open to acquiring more draft picks.
It does not appear that this is something they are actively searching out. However, if the opportunity presents itself, Jacksonville would definitely consider a move.
It doesn't even have to be trading away players. The Jaguars could trade down some of their draft picks. Maybe one of those first rounders finds them in a spot where they aren't really that high on anyone left.
If that happens, they could trade away a first rounder and get at least two picks back in return.
At the same time, theoretically, they could trade up. Again, the Jaguars have 10 picks. They could easily trade a few to move up even further in the first round, or to move up later in the draft.
Whatever happens though, just know that Jacksonville is open to all options. The fact that they aren't against getting more picks indicates that they would like to have a young, on the rise team.
Having all that draft stock means you have a ton of potential for the future.
It might get frustrating for Jacksonville fans to hear, but they might need to wait a little longer. The Jaguars are clearly trying to build something. And having a lot of draft picks is a good start.
Let's see if it works out this time around for them.
