Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey had a good reason for missing the start of training camp last week. He was in Tennessee with his family welcoming the birth of his first child.
But after spending a week with his family and his new baby daughter, Ramsey has gone back to work and finally reported to Jaguars training camp Tuesday. The Jags even sent out a video of their All-Pro corner making his way into the training facility via Twitter:

It’s obviously a big deal for the Jaguars to have Ramsey back in the fold. Ramsey was absolutely sensational for the Jags last season as he earned First-Team All-Pro honors. He and A.J. Bouye formed arguably the most formidable cornerback combination in the league and should do so again.
Their incredible performance in the defensive backfield was a huge reason why the Jaguars had a top defense, which was in turn mainly responsible for their surprising run all the way to the AFC Championship Game last season.
Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles has said the team aims to make it all the way back to that stage this season, which means the defense must continue to play at a high level. Barring any unforeseen injuries, Ramsey figures to play a pivotal part in that unit’s success once again.
While Ramsey missed the first four days of training camp, he still has time to get up to speed. The Jaguars are scheduled to play their first preseason game on Aug. 9 against the New Orleans Saints.
