The Jacksonville Jaguars and tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins have agreed to a two-deal worth $11 million, according to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports. Seferian-Jenkins just wrapped his four-year, $5.2 million rookie deal after spending the last two seasons with the New York Jets. He received some interest from a couple of NFC teams in the Seattle Seahawks and Atlanta Falcons over the last few days.

The fifth-year tight end has taken to social media to announce his next career move, voicing his gratitude for his time in New York and excitement for what lies ahead in Jacksonville over the next couple of seasons.

The 25-year-old is coming off the most productive season of his career with 50 receptions for 357 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 13 games played. Seferian-Jenkins proved to be a reliable asset in the passing game and was a big target in the red zone.
Article Continues BelowHe has an opportunity to immediately step in as the starter for the Jaguars next season despite Marcedes Lewis re-signing with the team earlier this offseason and the free agent signing of Niles Paul. If anything, he provides another solid receiving option for quarterback Blake Bortles, who signed a lucrative three-year, $54 million extension.
Earlier in his career, Seferian-Jenkins struggled to play up to the expectations as a second-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had a couple of off-the-field incidents, including a DUI charge in September 2016, that ended his tenure with the team. Seferian-Jenkins was picked up by the Jets for the rest of the season and played the entire 2017 campaign in New York.
The Jaguars have been extremely active in free agency, adding offensive guard Andrew Norwell and wide receiver Donte Moncrief to the mix along with retaining wideout Marqise Lee on a new deal. It has helped mask the loss of former Pro Bowl wide receiver Allen Robinson, who signed with the Chicago Bears.
