New York Jets coach Todd Bowles, who many presume to be on the hot-seat, isn't here to field your questions about his job security.

When asked if it is hard to avoid thinking about his job security, Bowles simply replied with a “no.” He followed up that insightful gem with:

“That stuff takes care of itself,” Bowles said.

Amazing.

Anyway, the entire situation with the Jets probably depends on your point of view. While many believe Todd Bowles has this roster overachieving, and he was given a horrible hand at the quarterback position, many others still believe he makes awful play calls on a rather consistent basis.

The Jets went 10-6 under Bowles in 2015. That is pretty awesome. Yet, they’ve won 10 games since the start of last season. This is far less awesome.

Without any real leads as to who will be the team's QB of the future, New York is probably (still) several seasons away from being competitive enough to battle for a playoff spot. While many fans might want to see Bowles sent packing, the Jets would essentially be hiring a new coach to come in and get fired in three or four years.

In my opinion, New York should allow the coach one more season, allowing him to eat the losses a first-year coach would otherwise eat, while playing a quarterback the franchise should select in the upcoming draft.
