The NFL season is right around the corner and the excitement is starting to build. One of the most notable stories across the league has been Davante Adams heading to the Las Vegas Raiders. Adams was traded to the Raiders in exchange for their 2022 first and second-round picks. Adams was unwilling to play under the franchise tag for the Packers even after Aaron Rodgers elected to return to the team.

The All-Pro wide receiver is clearly making an early impact on his new teammates. Tight End Darren Waller recently joined the Green Light Podcast with Chris Long to discuss the early impact that Davante Adams has made.

“I don’t know, it’s just like, you know what release he’s going to do — the little split with the shake — but it’s just so smooth, and quick, and effective. And guys are just about to shit themselves trying to stop it… And I’m over there in line just watching him, or if it’s in a team drill and I’m not in and he’s in, I’m just trying to be like, what is it about that that makes it so effective? And I don’t know man, it’s just a balance, a mindset of, ‘I’m running shit out here. Nobody’s going to make me move at a pace that isn’t my own.’”

This is obviously exciting news for Raiders fans. The 29-year-old has made a strong case for why he is the best wide receiver in the NFL for several years. This season is a new situation and a new quarterback for Davante Adams, but his talent is undeniable. It seems he is helping to raise the level of the Raiders already which is incredibly encouraging for the team.
