Heading into Week 9, the Oakland Raiders are set to face off against the Detroit Lions. Jon Gruden and company are 3-4 entering this week's game and they are in major need of coming through with a big-time win.

Derek Carr has had an interesting up-and-down season with the Raiders and will be looking to have a big game this week against a weak Detroit defense. He has completed an impressive 72.1 percent of his pass attempts for 1,695 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Those numbers show how good his numbers have been, but how much is still left for him to accomplish.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at three bold predictions for the Raiders quarterback against the Lions.

3. He Will Throw For Over 300 Yards

Carr has some weapons to work with, including Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller. Josh Jacobs has also stepped up in his rookie season at running back and Oakland needs him to continue producing. His ability to rack up yardage on the ground will continue opening up the passing game.

Oakland will need another big game from Carr and he will be able to deliver just that. Carr will end up throwing for over 300 yards when everything is said and done.

If the Raiders want to get their offense firing on all cylinders, they have to take care of the football. Carr has had trouble with turnovers in the past, but he has done a much job of taking care of the ball this year.

Against the Lions, Carr will be nearly perfect and won't turn the ball over a single time. Oakland's offense is going to put up a lot of production and the Detroit defense won't be able to stop them very often. The Raiders are going to see a version of Carr that they saw a few years back when he was an MVP candidate.

1. Oakland Will Score Four Passing Touchdowns

Finally, the Raiders are going to put up a lot of points this week. Outscoring the Lions isn't an easy task with Matthew Stafford playing at a high level, but Carr is going to throw four touchdowns this week.

Carr will find Tyrell Williams for a score or two, while Waller will also catch a touchdown. He has the weapons and the production is coming. Oakland fans are going to love what they see out of the offense this week.
