In a blockbuster move, wide receiver Davante Adams is now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders.
As first first reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN, Adams has been traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for several high-value draft picks.

Per Spotrac, the Packers are receiving the #22 and #53 overall picks in the 2022 NFL Draft from the Raiders in exchange for Adams. Immediately following the trade, Adams reportedly signed a massive contract extension with the Raiders for 5 years, $141.25 million.

Adams had previously expressed his unwillingness to play on the franchise tag. This was an issue many around the league expected to resolve over time. Now, Adams finds himself on a new roster in a new city, reuniting with his former college QB Derek Carr.
Reports are now surfacing that the Packers had offered the exact same contract to Adams before he was eventually traded. Per ESPN's Rob Demovsky and The Athletic's Matt Schneidman, the Packers offered Adams a contract equal to that of the Raiders' offer but Adams made it clear his desire to play elsewhere.
Per a source, the Packers we’re willing to pay Adams equally to what the Raiders are with this new deal but Adams preferred to play elsewhere.
Aaron Rodgers was aware of the developments with Adams as they unfolded in recent days.

This is a surprising development given Adams' connection and chemistry with future HOF QB Aaron Rodgers. However, according to reports, Rodgers was aware to Adams' situation throughout the contract dispute and chose to return to the Packers regardless.
The Raiders are acquiring one of the best receivers in the entire NFL, and has Adams now becoming the highest paid wideout in league history. The Packers are now without a true top receiver, and it is unclear what the franchise has planned moving forward. The Packers are in win-now mode, so expect more moves to follow.
