The Oakland Raiders acquired wide receiver Antonio Brown in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this week, and on Wednesday, Brown had his introductory press conference with the Raiders.

During the event, Brown said it was an “honor” to join such a “historic organization,” according to Allan Bell of 247 Sports.

Brown spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, making seven Pro Bowls and earning four First-Team All-Pro selections.

The 30-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Central Michigan, was originally selected by the Steelers in the sixth round (195th pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Brown only scarcely played during his rookie campaign, but in his second season, he was a Pro Bowler after hauling in 69 receptions for 1,108 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Then, by 2014, Brown was arguably the best wide out in the NFL and earned First-Team All-Pro honors four straight years right through 2017.

He is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and a league-leading 15 scores, but his on-field production was not the issue in Pittsburgh. It was his locker room presence.

Things reached a boiling point in the week leading up to the 2018 season finale, when Brown got into a heated dispute with Ben Roethlisberger and eventually went AWOL on the Steelers. He then tried to return for his team's Week 17 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but was benched by head coach Mike Tomlin.

Brown then asked for a trade, and his request was granted.
