The Las Vegas Raiders poached away the Green Bay Packers' premier receiving threat in Davante Adams last month. Rumors have recently swirled that the Packers were trying to do the same with Darren Waller.
Darren Waller has turned into one of the most productive tight ends in the NFL. Before missing a sizable chunk of last season due to injuries, he had tallied back-to-back 1100+ yard seasons for the Raiders without missing a single game. He was named to his first Pro Bowl in 2020.
It makes perfect sense that the Packers would be interested in Waller. But the speculation was squashed by the Raiders tight end himself in an appearance on CBS Sports Radio:

“We're just focusing on football and getting better. Learning the system — seeing where it's going to take us this season… I have no idea [how the report surfaced]… If I worry about all these different things I can't necessarily control, I can get frustrated. I just try to be as efficient as possible, and focus on what I can give to this team every day, when I show up to the building.”
The Raiders are trying to build a contender in Las Vegas. Darren Waller is a mighty fine player to have for that.
