The Oakland Raiders were blown out by the Green Bay Packers but the game could've gone differently had Derek Carr not turned the ball over in the second quarter. After the game, Carr spoke about the crucial fumble into the end zone against the Packers.
Carr on the fumble into the end zone: “it’s so hard not to try” to make a big play, which competitive drive kicks in. He also understands he has to put two hands on the ball when stretching out for a pylon.
He said after ball came loose, he immediately thought of Dallas ‘17

The Raiders were driving down the field on their final drive of the first half and they got the ball inside Green Bay's five-yard line. The score was 14-10 and on a second-and-goal, Carr attempted to make a play to put the ball beyond the goal line.
At the same time, Blake Martinez chased him down and attempted to make a tackle on the Raiders quarterback. As Carr was extending the ball, the ball slipped out of his hands and hopelessly fell out of bounds through the end zone.
Instead of Oakland taking the lead, the Packers got the ball back with Carr fumbling the ball for a touchback. To make matters worse, Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay offense to a touchdown drive to make it 21-10 as the teams went into halftime.
The thought in Carr's head makes a ton of sense. He just wanted to make a spectacular play to give his team the lead. But at the same time, he should've had both hands on the ball before he tries extending the ball towards the pylon. This was the second time in his career that he's fumbled the ball for a touchback.
After the touchback, the momentum quickly shifted and the Packers outscored the Raiders 28-14. It's safe to say that Carr would love to go back in time and change how that play went down.
