Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown is entangled in a battle with the NFL over the use of his helmet, and former NFL wide receiver Greg Jennings supports him.
Jennings say that he completely understands why Brown is unwilling to give up wearing the headgear he has been wearing for the first nine years of his career, saying he faced a similar situation during his playing days.
I do support Antonio Brown. From the 7th grade on, I wore the same helmet, same face mask. My last year in Green Bay they said I had to change helmets. I wore it one preseason game and got out of it.

Brown's helmet is no longer certified by the NOCSAE, as the committee states that no helmets that have been around for more than 10 years can be worn.
The 31-year-old has filed a grievance against the NFL as a result, and the decision will likely be made this week.
Brown has threatened to step away from the game if he is not allowed to wear his helmet.
Article Continues BelowIt has certainly been a wild offseason for Brown, who requested a trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers at the end of the 2018 campaign and was ultimately dealt to the Raiders for a third-round draft pick and a fifth-rounder back in March.
Brown took part in Oakland's offseason workouts and showed up to training camp on time late last month, arriving to Napa Valley via hot air balloon. He was then immediately placed on the non-football injury list, but was taken off the list less than 48 hours later and practiced with the team.
However, Brown only partially participated and has not practiced since, which was initially thought to be due to the fact that the seven-time Pro Bowler sustained frostbite on his feet after spending time in a cryotherapy chamber without wearing the proper footwear.
But, it seems like Brown's headgear issue is just as big of a reason for his lack of participation.
