Las Vegas Raiders tight end Darren Waller was the subject of a trade rumor, as his name was linked to the Green Bay Packers just days before the NFL Draft. The rumors were a bit surprising, given that Las Vegas had just dealt for stud receiver Davante Adams and are seemingly now set at the skill positions. Immediately after the Waller trade rumor surfaced, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr said there was “no chance” of such a deal happening. Even Raiders owner Mark Davis acknowledged there was nothing on the trade front for Las Vegas. However, there was a lingering feeling, given the trade craze at the NFL Draft on Thursday night, that perhaps a deal could still be on the table for the right price. However, head coach Josh McDaniels ended any speculation with a firm message on Waller's future with the Raiders, as reported by Pro Football Talk.

“I have loved my time around him and I am looking forward to what we’re going to do together,” McDaniels said, via Vic Tafur of TheAthletic.com. “He’s a Raider, he’s going to be a Raider.”

There it is, Raiders fans! McDaniels said that he's “loved” being around Waller and that the star tight end is going to be a member of the organization moving forward.

Even though things were seemingly trending in this direction, it's nice for Raiders fans to hear their team's head coach flat-out say that a Waller trade isn't in the works.

Las Vegas fans can officially look forward to seeing Carr work with his three-headed monster of pass-catchers in Waller, Adams and Hunter Renfrow.
