On Monday, a bombshell rumor surfaced suggesting the Green Bay Packers and Las Vegas Raiders were in discussions over a potential trade for star tight end Darren Waller. It was a shocking report, especially considering the fact the Packers traded Davante Adams to Las Vegas earlier in the offseason. Well, ESPN's NFL insider Jeremy Fowler is putting these rumors to rest, indicating that his sources tell him there's “no chance” the Raiders offload Waller.
Got a firm ‘zero chance’ Darren Waller is traded from a source. Teams certainly would like to acquire a top tight end on a good contract but Raiders have no plans to acquiesce.

That's certainly an update Raiders fans will be pleased to hear. While Fowler noted various teams are interested in landing one of the game's best tight ends, Las Vegas has no intentions of dealing the 29-year-old, despite the rumors of discussions between them and Green Bay.
Article Continues BelowWhile the idea of Darren Waller catching passes from Aaron Rodgers would be quite the sight for Packers fans, Vegas is determined to hold onto their star tight end. Quarterback Derek Carr took to Twitter on Monday to adamantly declare that he didn't want Waller going anywhere, and it seems the front office agrees with that sentiment. Packers fans will keep holding out hope that Waller will make the shocking move up north, but as of now, it seems very unlikely.
Waller has been one of the most consistent tight ends in the league over the past few seasons. From 2019-21, Waller featured in 43 games for the Raiders, logging 252 receptions, 3,006 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns during that span. Last year he battled injury but featured in 11 games, picking up 665 receiving yards on 55 receptions and scoring 2 touchdowns.
