As the Oakland Raiders try to figure out what to do with the quarterback position they have set up private workouts with Kyler Murray and Dwayne Haskins according to Albert Beer of SI.com.

If the Raiders were just having meetings with the two they could have them in Oakland, but since they are working them out they have to happen near the player's college campus or near their hometown.

Even with the Raiders having to travel to conduct the workouts, it's expected that the team will do these workouts back to back.

These workouts being set up show that the Raiders are at least thinking about taking a quarterback with the 4th overall pick.

Derek Carr has four years and $78 million left on his contract, but none of that money is guaranteed so the team could move on from him. This offseason both  Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden have talked about how much confidence they have in Carr, but it all could just be a smoke screen.

“Derek is 27, he’ll be 28 in March, and we think he’s a franchise quarterback,” General Manager Mike Mayock said via Pro Football Talk. “The other piece of that is a G.M. and a coach have to look to upgrade the roster at every single position. So do I think there are a whole lot of quarterbacks out there better than Derek? No. But is it my job to always check, and look? Yeah.”

All the questions about the quarterback position should be answered on April 25th after the Raiders make their first round selection.
