The Week 18 matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers might have been the game of the year. It came down to the wire and the insane tie scenario nearly came to fruition that would have knocked the Pittsburgh Steelers out of the playoffs. In the final seconds of overtime, Rich Bisaccia opens up about the conversations his coaching staff was having before kicking the game-winning field goal.
According to Dov Kleiman, Raiders interim coach Rich Bisaccia openly admits his coaching staff thought out taking the tie. However, thanks to a big run that put Las Vegas in field goal range, Bisaccia decided to go for the win instead.

In what turned out to be a wild contest, the Raiders walked away with the win and a playoff berth. It sounds like had the Chargers been able to stop the run, this game would have ended in a tie. This is an uncommon thing to root for in football, as ties come very seldom. Regardless, it would have benefited both teams as they'd both be participating in the postseason right now.
Instead, we have the Las Vegas Raiders somehow make it to the playoffs after the Chargers' controversial timeout call. After going through major adversity this season, Vegas aims to make a potential run for the Super Bowl.
The Chargers surely wish for a different outcome, as they're now watching the playoffs from the couch like the rest of us. Look for the Raiders to come out swinging in the postseason as they aim to upset the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round.
