According to Dov Kleiman, Raiders interim coach Rich Bisaccia openly admits his coaching staff thought out taking the tie. However, thanks to a big run that put Las Vegas in field goal range, Bisaccia decided to go for the win instead.

This is an uncommon thing to root for in football, as ties come very seldom. Regardless, it would have benefited both teams as they'd both be participating in the postseason right now.

The Chargers surely wish for a different outcome, as they're now watching the playoffs from the couch like the rest of us. Look for the Raiders to come out swinging in the postseason as they aim to upset the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round.
