The Oakland Raiders have signed wide receiver Ryan Grant, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Grant spent the 2018 campaign with the Indianapolis Colts, playing in 14 games and hauling in 35 receptions for 334 yards and a touchdown.
The 28-year-old was actually supposed to join the Baltimore Ravens last season after signing a four-year, $29 million deal with the team, but he failed a physical and then proceeded to join the Colts.
Grant, who played his collegiate football at Tulane University, was originally selected by the Washington Redskins in the fifth round (142nd pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.
He appeared in all 16 contests during his rookie year, logging just seven catches for 68 yards in a limited role. The following season, Grant once again participated in all 16 games, but this time, he had a more of a job within the offense, catching 23 passes for 268 yards and a couple of scores.
Grant's role then shrunk again in 2016, as he finished with just nine receptions for 76 yards, but in 2017, the Texas native had a breakout year of sorts, snaring 45 balls for 573 yards while reaching the end zone four times.
The Raiders have certainly had a busy offseason, adding the likes of Antonio Brown, Trent Brown and Lamarcus Joyner as well as other pieces.
Oakland is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which it won just four games. The Raiders have made the playoffs only once since last making the Super Bowl back during the 2002 season and have recorded just one winning campaign during that span.
