The only thing more predictable than a fight breaking out during a joint NFL practice is a fight breaking out during a joint NFL practice when one of the teams is on Hard Knocks.

That's exactly what happened when the Oakland Raiders, featured on this year's edition of the acclaimed HBO documentary series, and the Los Angeles Rams shared a practice.

This doesn't seem like much. According to ESPN Rams reporter Lindsey Thiry's description, the fight only last for about a minute before practice resumed.

The best guess would be that things got a little chippy. It's hot, maybe someone got a little more aggressive than the other team would've liked or someone was talking a lot of trash. In all honesty, it's the same thing every year.

You can't really blame them, either. A lot of these guys are players that want to make a name for themselves and are fighting for roles or for a spot on the team. Now imagine those guys going up against a more established player and they feel like that person is holding. Or the established player is getting annoyed because the young guy is going all out and they feel like they're trying to show them up.

Fights are always going to happen because there's so much tension during training camp. That, and there are so many players on each team at the moment that it's hard to imagine everyone getting along all that well.

In fact, it's commonplace to see fights breakout between teammates at solo practices. Therefore, joint practices are raising the odds that much more.

You have to wonder if any of these frays are like those hockey fights where the players agree to it before the puck drops. Like they just want to entertain the fans or know that there are some issues between the two teams.

I'm willing to bet that's been the case a few times. Whatever the situation was here though, at least it appears it wasn't anything too serious.
